First SJ today

Was our SJ debut today and first time away from home at a show too. He loaded great.

Unloaded, he was very nervous (bless) He was mega stressed on the car park but settled once we left it. (didn't seem to be the lorries tho??)

I was expecting he would be silly in the warm up but he was pretty good.
Then in the class he was really great didn't put a foot wrong went clear easily
Then to the jump off, again he flew round even did tight turns but I messed up on the very last jump, I turned him too tight and we missed the jump

We still came 3rd but so annoyed with myself we would have won if I hadn't pushed it. We still qualified for the Midarc winter championships which was what I went for (hoping)

Decided to then do the young horse class, in fairness it was way to tight and twisty for a young horse class and he got really uptight and bucked and tried to run off bouncing

After the 5th jump I pulled him up and retired

Again got stressed on the car park? Took 2 attempts to load him.

Over all I am REALLY pleased with him

When we got home he was really excited to be back, and also seems extremely relieved bless him

Well done you...........and pulling up after the 5th is certainly no disgrace especialy at his 1st show, I always think it is best finishing on a good note!!!
I bet he will sleep well tonight....
