As some of you may know I have been through the emotional roller-coaster that is finding out your horse has kissing spines.

He had the operation on the 4th January and yesterday he was ridden for the first time, to say I am over the moon is an understatement!!!!! :D:D

We still have a long way to go psychologically as he still 'thinks' the pain is there... but the main thing is he is looking better than ever and I cant wait for the day when I can saddle him up and go for a hack... its been a long time coming.

Crikey, I know how you feel - we got on our boy again on Monday for the first time after his accident in December, he had a partially severed tendon. So far all good, and what a well behaved boy.
All in all, the last 6 months have flown by (thank goodness).
Make sure you keep us up to date in your progress. Ours will be a slow one, hopefully more or less back to normal riding within 3 months although unsure if he will jump much, but his scans have looked great so far, so we are very hopefull it will be 100% recovery.

That's lovely to hear :)! My chestnut had a ks op a couple of years ago. I don't own him now but he is still being ridden and loving his life - without pain! Fingers crossed for you that things go just as well :))
