First Time Cross Country ...Ever!! :D

So I did some cross country for the first time today!! And it's fair to say I nothing less than terrified :L I went with 3 others from my riding school, who had never done it before either so we were all in the same boat, which was good, no pressure or anything! Just a bit if fun :)
I rode A fantastic little Ardennes X Highland who I've been riding in my lessons and he was a real sweetheart, although he has a huge jump he took me over everything nice a gently, admittedly we didn't always go over first time but that was completely the fault of me and my nerves. (with a more confident rider I think he could of flown round!)
Anyway, it was the first time for both me and him, and despite me probably letting him down he did brilliantly!
I know it's a pointless post but I'm just so happy/proud! at the start I felt sick at the thought of going over a tiny log and by the end we has jumped the the welsh dragon one! ...and I was enjoying myself (dare I say feeling a little bit confident) I wanted to do it again! ;)

...I know my position is shockingly bad, but trying to improve it :L we learn through doing after all ;)
 
What a cute horse! And he looks very keen.

Well done, you are brave. I jumped a 1ft cross pole on my horse the other day, first time jumping him and first time jumping in 7 years, was absolutely terrified! But it's such a good feeling once you get over it, I can imagine how elated you must have been feeling! Well done!!
