Am I right in understanding your post in that he hasn't been turned out for three years? Why so long?

It might well have been 5 years as I've not managed to get in contact with the other owner!
Where he came from they literally had no fields, and it wasn't a strong enough part of their 'horsey culture' to be worth boxing up to! He was very well kept along with a national team pony and a stallion, and exercised 3X a day
