I have a 14.2hh 6yo gelding. He's dark brown/seems black and has a few spots on his quarters. He has very nice paces and you would think he was 15.3! He's muscly/chunkier, but not a cob. I am taking him to a small local show on Sunday. He's a very pathetic appaloosa, but he is, so would this affect which classes I could enter? I am wondering if he is eligible to do Hunter/Working Hunter even with his markings? He seems a perfect Lightweight Hunter type! He has a muscly neck. I would be very grateful for Any advice on which classes I could do, what I should wear, the individual show, His turnout and what we should practice at home.
I have heard that plaiting the tail is old fashioned and pulling is much more acceptable. I myself dont really like the pulled tail look so would a plaited tail be allowed?
