I have been riding for over a year now and I am going viewing my first horse to part loan today
Is there anything I should know before going ?

They also said he is still young and learning although very easy and safe

They say he sometimes need encouragement due to being young but is great around children and has lovely manners

Are you under 18 OP?
If so, please take an adult with you. Apologies if not, but you mention he is good with children a couple of times.
Ask if they have a contract you can see, you need to know what duties and payments you are responsible for, and what the owners would do in emergency. Also, are you expected to pay and attend if the pony is off games (sick or lame) for any reason.
Ask what he is allowed to do, can he go out alone?
Can you take him to events on 'your' days?

Sorry you had a disappointment. Don't get weary of walking away from ones that aren't what you need. Be very fussy, its important to get the right one.
