First timer in a WH class. I'm cluless!

Doing the novice working hunter class tomorrow with my loan pony. (When I say novice, I mean 1ft9 fences and lead reins are permitted!!!) I'm sorted for tack and turnout, but cluless for the rest! What should I expect? what should I do? What are the judges looking for? If someone could talk me through the class step by step that would be brilliant!!

The judge will expect the pony to be forward going but with good manners. Try not to show jump the fences as such - a good WH pony doesnt use energy giving fences lots of height and making a pretty shape over them so a little quicker as long as the pony is careful and easily controlled

Shows do things differently so what happens next is not always consistent

Some shows send the person who has just finished jumping to another area and another judhe for their individual show

Some shows pull the clear rounds only back in to the ring for a go round and individual shows from a line up

Some pull everyone in

Ask the ring steward in the lull before the class and try not to be first in then you will see

Most WH ponies gallop in their indivdual shows but im not sure about novices

Only off to a local one! He's unregistered so any "real" dales shows are off the cards!
After much debate, I've decided i'm going to go "au natural" into the WH, instead of a neat running plait. If I was a judge I'd want to see my boy in his full glory, not pretending to be something he isn't
