Just bought a Rhino Wug for my 14.3 forester off eBay. Tried it on and it seems to barely cover his tummy and neck section has to be pulled a long way up his neck, otherwise it looks too tight at the front. I am really unsure of the fit and wondered if anyone has one of these rugs and if they are ok? I sort of expected the wug to come a little way up his neck not right up his neck. I didn’t realise when I bought it, it was a pony rug (it’s 5ft9) and just assumed Horseware call anything this size and smaller pony. It’s a lovely rug but maybe I have got used to deeper cuts on Weatherbeetas! It Barely reaches below his tummy, and I have had to lengthen the belly straps so they are right at the end so I can do them up. I bought it new on eBay, so can resell. Thanks for any comments!

ETA it’s the one with only two, rather than three, belly straps

I have a 4’9 Rhino Wug for my pony and I often have to get straps adjusted in particular rugs with belly flaps are way too big so he’s slight build.
I do find if he’s put on a bit of weight his tummy shows slightly yea and that’s on him!
It’s definitely a lot shorter than any other brand I have for him. Including Amigo.

I find the pony Rhinos fit my donkeys perfectly. So imagine a donkey shaped narrow short necked and tiny chested pony and they might just fit! I can't think they would fit any normal shaped pony very well at all.

I have several older ones and depending on the filling they come up small, I have A's, NF, Connemara, TB and Highland. My NF would have been in a 5'6'' in most brands but a 5'9'' in a lighter weight Horseware would drown her.

I bought one the same for mine and ended up selling to a friend as it was just a bit small on her. The Rambos fit much better.

I have the Rhino Mio rugs for my chunky 13.1 welshie and those don't come up small (she's a 5ft 9"). Both the no fill turnout and the 200 fill winter rug are generous fits round the middle (and as we reckon she's had at least 5 foals she is dropped in her tummy area).

Never tried the Rhino Wug but did have Rambo Wug for my old riding horse and from what I recall that also came up short on the sides and a bit tight in front. Perhaps try the 'normal' Rhino rather than the Wug?

Ok thanks all, I will try it on on our BRP but if it doesn’t fit her will pop it back on eBay. The length and depth just seem really weird. Not helped by the fact my NF is probably more horse than pony. Shame as it’s a lovely rug! Anyone want a 5ft 9 brand new wug 🤣🤣
