My horse out on loan has just had physio yesterday and is due back out next Wednesday - found out pelvis was out - after next week he needsto be brought back into work slowly to build muscle properly on backend - what riding regime is good to get him back up to fitness and muscle the correct areas

The physio should give you exercises to do both on the ground ie.carrot stretches and lungeing or ridden work.
I usually work them gently for one or two days after treatment, probably a hack,then work getting the horse to stretch down long and low when warming up and cooling down.
Pole work is also useful to get them working their back correctly.
