Thought I'd let you know blood test and liver test done. He has adult epilepsy and I've found out that one of his sister has the same problem and started roughly the same time. So bless him he's on 2 tablets a day and 6 monthly blood checks.

Fingers crossed hes's fine, many dogs continue a normal life on medication and if it's anything like in humans once the drugs kick in the seizures stop pretty quickly.

How long has your dog been fitting? How often was he having them? Hope the tablets work. My dog has been having fits since before Christmas, no tablets yet though...

Awww I'm glad you got a firm diagnosis as I seem to recall the vet wasn't overly concerned initially.

Here's hoping your dog's symptoms are brought under control with the medication.

What CC said....hoprfully it can be managed......also to add we see alot of colli x labs at work with epilepsy.

His fits started on Jan 12th, 13th and was ok for nearly a fortnight and on sunday had 2 within 20 mins of each other and again lasted very short space of time, less than my electric tooth brush (2 mins). Started his tablets today, goes back 2 1/2 weeks for blood test to see if the meds are affecting his liver, if so try some other. Other than that he's a happy bunny, high speed every where and I swear a dustbin for his stomach.
