Hi
Novicy question but I'm just not sure on how much fittening work will be needed and what sort of program to follow.
My TB was averaging an hour a day for 4/5 days a week, with the odd hack going up to 2 and once 3 hours. She wasn't overly sweaty or breathing heavily and I was happy with her level of fitness.
Then she went mildly lame which we've been fighting now for 4 weeks and finally seem to have got on top of. During that time she was in for 5 days and has been out in the field 24/7 for the rest of the time.
At the advice of my vet I've been riding at walk for 10 minutes over the last 3 days in the soft school and as she has stayed sound I've now got the go ahead to start increasing the work load and bringing her back into work.
We only do the odd dressage/showing competition so I'm not looking for her to be event fit, just don't want to risk pulling muscles or hurting her.
So any advice for a program for her?
Thanks guys, and sorry to keep bombarding you with simple questions.
