I've decided to try Q in a double bridle.
I have a Sue Carson Bridle which has a comfort padded headpiece & can be used as a snaffle (as it is now) or with the addition of the headslip a double.
My question is - which part would you connect the weymouth to. i.e the cheek pieces on the padded headpiece or on the headslip?
& would you put the headslip over or under the padded headpiece.

Thanks.

The weymouth should go on the normal headpiece, with the bradoon on the slip head. I would put it underneath the headpiece unless your headpiece has special slots for the noseband/slip head to go through over the poll, although I realise putting it under the comfort headpiece defeats the object of it.

Thanks. That's great & what I had thought, but wanted to check

There is a slot, but you can only put through either the headslip or noseband, but not both, so I think I'll put the headslip through & leave the noseband under the headpiece as I don't think that will put any pressure on as it'll only obviosly be a cavesson.
