Ive had a Micklem for a couple of weeks now and like it except for one little niggle. I fitted it while copying the diagrams from the Rambo website but Ive noticed the drop strap seems to end up a bit over the side of the bit so almost pushes either side of the bit? Its just how the angle of it sits, I do it up tight enough without being uncomfy. I use a NS loose ring snaffle so I dont know if full cheeks are better but dont fancy having to change bit. Have I fitted it wrong somehow?!

Is the bit high enough in the mouth? Mine touches the bit but it would not be in anyway pushing it

Ditto what equi asked. Have you tried using the bit clips instead of the straps to hold the bit? Depending on the size of the bit ring the straps might not be short enough.

I played around a bit with getting the front of the noseband in the correct place and then fitted the bit to the bridle.

Dropping the noseband a hole might help? You'd have to shorten the bit straps accordingly but that might be better than just lifting the bit.

Right thanks everyone, will try popping the bit up a hole tonight (then will try noseband down a hole).

I unfortunately bought the bridle second hand so it didnt come with the bit clips...

You can buy them separately they are not used to hold the bit on the are for stabilising the bit you attach them to the ring on each side of the noseband .
Great to use for lunging
