Took Fitz to Vale View to see if we could finish off his summer qualification at Elementary. It was a lovely sunny day, and Fitz felt fab. Warmed up bit flat for the first test and in putting in the energy the trot felt a bit fragile, but we went in and did a clear round, with no spooks and no naughties! Stepped back in the halt as he was thinking rein back, but otherwise was a nice easy test.
Much better second time round, loads of ummph and lovely and easy in the trot, did some storming mediums and then went in. Quite a few wobbly bits but the general quality was better, he broke in his medium canter as was spooking at the evil corner, rein back was a bit wonky and he stepped back in his first halt, but overall very happy with the big brown beast.
Warming up...
And in the test...
He has been practising these...
Ended up winning both classes over all, with 67% in the first and 69% in the second
so all qualified for the summers at elem, now a month at home to get him ready to come out at medium, then we have till june to get that qualification sorted
Was also lovely to meet Baydale and the gorgeous Jupiter
