five stage vetting - how detailed is the report?

When I had my last horse vetted (10 years ago), I recieved a certificate from the vet (the one with the outline of the horse & space for the vet's comments) and I also received a detailed written report which the vet had dictated. It was about a page and a half of A4.

This time, I've just had the certificate with the outline of the horse, a couple of remarks in the box from the vet and that's it. Is this normal practice now or should I be expecting to get something additional? I would be grateful to hear of other people's recent experiences.

Thanks

I've only had one horse 5 stage vetted but the certificate is similar to the one you've described.

The certificate just shows her details and markings then a list of 5 points of things found during the vetting and then a signed declaration at the bottom.

Good Luck with your new horse

Thank you for replying - I didn't want to make a fuss if that was the norm. Maybe I was just lucky with the vet last time around?!

Thanks - I'm very excited about the new arrival.

Yes I've had six horses vetted, five since 1995 and they are all based on drawings of whorls, markings, etc, problems with horse, ie. curb or splint, and basically a claim that goes along the lines of "this horse is/is not suitable for the disciplines it is intended for (and then the discliplines are written down). It will have the time/date/location of the vetting, colour of horse, approx age, height also.
