I'm starting to panic... my boots were sent to Fix my boot Zips about a month ago to a person named Lucy Francis in Hartfield, East Sussex.

I havent heard anything from them since and cannot get in touch with them whatsoever ( email or telephone), the answer phone just comes on.

Only after i sent them did i read someone else on the British Dressage forum had a problem with them as well.
I understand she was at Blair Horse Trials last year.
I'm wondering if anybody knows how to get in contact with her or knows her personally, so get my boots back !??

Thanks in advance,

I emailed them a few months ago about doing my Konigs. They gave me a massive quote and a six weeks turnaround. I had them done for half the price in a week at a local cobbler. Glad I didn't use them now. Oddly, they answered my email straight away when asking for a quote. I'd do that - email them pretending to be asking for a quote to do a job, asking if you can ring to discuss. Then when you've got their attention - threaten them with TS.

Good luck.

I have done some more detective work. She has not been at the address on her web site for over 1 year, her mobile phone number does not exist anymore. On her email to me she gave me a different address Churchsettle, Church road, Rotherfield and that is where my boots went. She has cashed my cheque 4 weeks ago so she has definatley recived them.
I might have got it all wrong but if she wont answer her emails and there is no contact number i can only fear the worse. I will have to put this one down to experience!!!!

I found an interesting forum site about this on british dressage. check it out.

Did you ever get your boots back? I just bought a pair of boots on ebay from a lucy francis....a week ago and they hadn't arrived so I did some digging and turns out she is mentioned on the repairs section of a Pegasus tack website (www.pegasustack.co.uk). After reading your post I thought this isn't looking good so did some more digging and found some phone numbers but people would not give me her number and were avoiding talking to me. After a few verbal reminders, about trading standards etc... hey ho...she phoned me! Very apologetic with many reasons why she had let people down. She did sound pretty sorry and admitted she had messed up. She sounded pretty genuine but we will see if my boots show up soon and if anyone is still missing theirs maybe there is a chance she still has them. If you or anyone out there is still missing boots I have a contact number.

I am very sorry to hear that some of you are unhappy with service provided by Lucy Francis and hope that these issues get quickly sorted out.
Please be advised that her business is totally separate from Pegasus Tack (www.pegasustack.co.uk) and regret that we are unable to help with any queries relating to her business.
