So Chalky had another Tildren injection a couple of days ago the Vet was very please with him otherwise, said he was better than he had been last year before the Tildren back then...So off we went for a bit of a celebratory plod today and what does he do? The clumsy sod trips, not a full on face plant affair, but you know how they do it they just lose track of their feet and have to have a bit of a quick shuffle to avoid having their nose on the ground :o and of course he manages to do something to his near fore. We had a bit of trouble with his suspensory on and off so i'd put my money on it being that..its so frustrating!

Just wondering what I should do? Keep him on box rest for a couple of days? Or keep him out? Light road work? He has been nanny to my yearling but i'll move him into another field tomorrow because i'm guessing all the 'keeping Harley in his place' which involves a bit of bossing about won't help if hes jumping about on it.

Also How could I support it when I do work? Bandages? Boots? Bandages in the stable? AAAAh  hosed it off and put some Compagel on it after working and left him inside tonight because I wanted him to let it settle a bit...

Hot chocolate with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles and marshmallows for any help!

-Elena. :D

Seeing as he's under the vet anyway, I would give the vet a call, since they saw him recently and if they know of the prev probs then they might be able to give you a suggestion over the phone on how best to proceed for your boy. Given that he has lameness issues anyway (I'm guessing - with the tildren inj?) I think they would be your best bet.
Hope he's on the mend soon!
