Good or bad for horses? I've lost touch with feeds, there are just too many!! I have an oldie who would love something tasty to get stuck into!! Mole valley do a conditioning mix that contains flaked cerals. It's £10 a bag cheaper than what I'm feeding now !

From what I understand, the starch in cereals is more readily digested in flaked cereals that have basically been crushed and cooked. So whether they are good or bad depends how much starch you want your horse to absorb. My oldie currently gets flaked maize with her feed, but my pregnant mare will not be getting any as starch should be as low as possible to avoid issues for the future foal.
