My horse has what looks like dandruff, I thought it might be lice but there's no movements. Is it just his winter coat coming out?

The coat often looks scurfy and rough when they moult a good groom everyday will help and a bath once it's warm enough.

Mine had this too a couple of weeks ago as her coat started to change, flakes coming to the surface as I was brushing winter coat out - only for a week and just hair now although taking an age to lose the winter fluff fully!

Good groom and a bath. Handy to take scurfy bits away is a sweat scraper along the coat. Just dry it should manipulate it all to the surface
