Flash noseband and rubber bit guards - fitting

I use rubber bit guards as a precautionary measure but George also has a flash noseband and I'm never sure whether the flash should be done up over the top of the guards or underneath? My head says over the top, but perhaps someone could let me know the correct way - thanks.

I would do it up underneath. Maybe I'm strange.

I had a feeling I was doing it wrong! I use a dutch gag - but the one with 2 rings (snaffle ring and 1 small ring below) - does that make a difference?

I use a flash and bit guards on my dutch gag and alway fit the flash underneath

So yeah make sure the flash is under the bit rings and the gaurd

Underneath. It also stops Beert trying to eat the rubber guards.....I am forever fishing them out of hi gob when tacking up!
