Has anyone tried Durasole http://www.durasole.com/ I'd be really interested in hearing what it like.

A lot of folks in the U.S. Swear by it.
I use Keretex, which some people tend to frown on due to the formaldehyde that's in it. I have used it for years on my foundered horse and never had issues

Save yourself a lot of money, buy formaldehyde from eBay or beg a bit from a sheep farmer, water it down to just under ten percent, and use that.
That's effectively what keratex hoof hardener is, for a fraction of the price. I use it and it works well.

I dont agree with you very often ycbm but this time I do, with one proviso.
Formaldehyde is quite carcinogenic and somewhat corrosive. Therefore I always recommend that anyone using it wears protective gloves and does not breathe in the fumes from it. Always use a brush and do not get any on your skin or in your eyes. I do not recommed any children use it either.
Be aware that although the outer sole will harden it does not penetrate much below the surface so its possible for bacteria to destroy the underlayer after a few weeks, depending on growth and environmental conditions. In that case you can get large flakes of sole peeling away after a few weeks.
