Flat hunter type nosebands tend to suit my horses head the best but at the weekend my flat browband unfortunately doesn't fit my horse (noseband does). I have a lovely, simple, ribbon browband that does fit.

My question is can you put these together for showing in Riding horse and lightweight hack classes? Or would I be better off with my normal padded bridle?

I personally wouldn't, a ribbon brow band looks better on neat rolled type nose band, a hunter nose band looks better with either plain or brass.

Riding Horses usually wear coloured browbands and flat nosebands; Hacks wear thinner, sometimes raised, nosebands - depends what suits the horse, and coloured browbands (usually more "blingy" than the Riding Horse ones).

I show my TB in riding horse classes and have always shown her in a coloured browband with a flat hunter style noseband and never had any problems.
