Flatter tree'd saddles

So I've been advised that my horse needs a flatter tree'd saddle.... He's a 7yr old 16.2 chunk! We had a Devoucoux which never fit him to be honest so I got a cheap wide fit saddle to tide us over. I now want a decent jumping saddle with a flatter tree rather than a rounded one- any ideas???
I have a decoucoux dressage saddle to which I'm looking to replace too, again a flatter tree would be advised. Now I'm short legged so was looking for advice here too! Don't want much do I?!!!
 
I had one made to measure by Ideal this year. I asked for a flatter tree with straight cut panels fitted to my very hard to fit horse who is wide but has a wither. They made me one up based on the Le Trek (without the quilted seat). I have to say it's the most comfy saddle I have ever owned - and believe me I've tried quite a few in my almost never ending quest to fit this horse with a saddle. Horse goes really nicely in it as well.

I got 3 sets of blocks as well - dressage/jumping and gp

You need a flatter panel as well as a flat tree - so many continental saddles have scoopy panels even on the flatter trees. We make flat seated and panelled saddles of all kind, and fit from stock meaning you usually buy the saddle you try so no room for error and no wait! PM me if you'd like more info.
 
WOW do a flatter tree. The whole saddle can be chosen to suit the horse and can be tweaked easily to go with changes in the horse. My PSG mare has the flatter tree on her WOW and I have the other style tree on my youngster. I'd actually expected the youngster to need the flatter tree but thankfully it doesn't suit and she has got her Mum's saddle. All I had to change were the panels as she is a very different shape to Mum (and already wider :gulp: )
 
Try the Tekna - newbrand of jump saddle out. With a flatter tree & thinner panels so fits the chunkies really well. & it's very comfortable as it's close contact & looks just like a butet or devo SJ saddle.

Sounds interesting but you are a million miles away from me! I'm up in Durham
 
Yes I have one and it is lovely to ride / jump in - I feel very secure & like you , I have short legs !
They feel like a pro jump saddle to ride in & retail at £470 ish (new)
Adjustable tree & they did well in the pilance / pressure testing .

Goodness that's cheap! I've been riding in a Henri de Revil since binning the Devoucoux but whilst it doesn't "not fit" it could be a lot better. I don't like it to xc as it doesn't let me ride short enough and isn't forward cut enough for my liking hence I feel a bit of a passenger!
Don't suppose you know of a northern retailer? This saddle buying is so hard- want to try before I buy!!!!
