For all us 'pears' out there, what breeches do you find most flattering?

I thought I had it cracked, found some by LOS equine wear which were perfect. Unfortunately that company seems to have gone out of business and I can't get any more.

Looking for material with a bit of stretch/give in it. The problem I have is if I go up a size so that the thigh is comfortable then the waist is a bit loose and you get a saggy crotch :D

I could really do with some pale beige competition breeches but also every day riding ones.

Mark Todd are out. Derby House are out. Caldene are out. Pikeurs are ok but not perfect.

I swear by Equetech. They are comfy and hold you in enough to have a slimming effect. I wear them for everyday and comps, most recently buying the highwaist snaffle breeches, which are fantastic.

Gorge Schumacher Pointer... I bought a pair cheap, put them on and lost 2 sizes instantly! On sale on Ebay at the moment... :)

My new find are Equilibre breeches, but I don't know if you can get them in the UK. Plenty of stretch but don't go baggy and thick enough, but not too hot!

Unfortunately I can't seem to find Equilibre in the UK, but the other two are on my list to try.
As luck would have it there is a small shop near me that would appear to stock Equetech (not a shop I go in much) and also the ebay seller of Schumacher have a large shop about 30 minutes away so I might go shopping this weekend :)

Who stocks equetech? I am very impressed by the Ruggles ones - they are the ones rosie and I were discussing at Quainton as we had matching breeches on!!

My beige breeches are Tally Ho, bit cheap and cheerful (think I paid about £40 last year for them) but since I ripped the first pair on a hedge out hunting on the first or second wear, I don't mind that as I'd have been gutted if I'd spent lots of £££! I have this pair (they are much less yellow in the flesh) http://www.theranchstore.co.uk/Riding-Wear/Jodhpurs/Tally-Ho-Ladies-Breeches/prod_464.html

I love them because they're high waisted so very flattering, and the double pockets are brill. The only thing I don't like is I think there's a bit too much give in the material, for me personally. They're not flashy or a posh name but I don't get on with Caldene or Pikeur, and refuse to spend £100 on a pair only to land in a puddle or rip them!!

If you can get them, Dublin high waisted breeches are (IMO) very flattering. I loathe their hipster styles but if you can find the high waisted ones anywhere, they're great. I also have Just Togs every day breeches which are awful, wouldn't waste my money on them again (expensive for the quality you get, material is far too stretchy and the sizes aren't accurate, I found they come up too big). Also have a cheap pair of Shires checked ones which are brilliant, esp for the money. High waisted, flattering, full seat and they've lasted much longer than all of the more expensive ones. Only drawback is they're not terribly stretchy and I needed to go up a size from normal.

Jods Galore apparently, so will try the ruggles ones while I'm in there!!

Equetech are good, ive had a white pair for donkey's years and they have lasted really well. They are pretty flattering for white and have a nice amount of give without being massive around the waist.
After parting company with Q and being dragged along Felbridge's surface they might have finally meet their end, im hoping another wash might save them as they are a fab back up pair.

Yep,the only makes that fit me perfectly are Equetech, Horka and Red Horse which are made by Horka. Most of mine are Equetech & Horka- Saying that i got a pair of Tagg full seat denim breeches at the weekend and they fit well too. Happy shopping!

Ariat - a bit pricey but 'last season's' styles come up on ebay regularly. Comfy, cool and as I have big thigh issues, if they fit me they should fit you! Very good quality fabric too.

Schumacher are good for me - but watch the styles as some are awful and some lovely and the fit seems to vary a bit with the style. But then MT fit me so we may be different shapes...

Would second Eurostar, I had some lovely beige ones which I eventually sold on ebay (to an HHOer by chance ;)) but have had problems getting hold of any more.

Ooh goody, I just bought a beige pair of eurostar breeches on eBay for 10quid, am waiting for them to arrive but am excited now!

I have always liked Toggi Isis breeches as have good stretch and flattering front. My Schumacher I am not that overjoyed with but they are ok.
