Saw a flea (huge!) on Tassy- so bought Frontline and treated her- hadnt seen any more for 10 days- now just seen another huge one. Does that mean it didnt work? do i need to re-treat? not seen any others other than those two....

It might have been living in your house in the soft furnishings - have you flea sprayed everywhere and washed all throws, beds, sofa covers etc?

Hot wash everything you can.

I get them off the cats periodically and I just have to throw all bedding, clothes etc in the wash and treat them, spray house. The eggs can go dormant then reactivate when it gets warm enough.

Found three on me in the last week, ARGHHH!!! but they tend not to live on humans very long.
They don't go near the dogs and my Mum has no problem with them, weirdly!!!!!

you can apply frontline spot on after 2wks if nec,but i think i would be inclined to hot wash all dogs bedding & get a house hold spray from your vet(indorex is good) hoover before spraying to wake up those going thru the hatching process & spray everywhere the dogs go in house.turning up the heating + placing damp towels on radiators to create humidity will encourage flea larva to hatch & get zapped by the spray.before fleas die from frontline they go through a hyperactive stage which is why you will notice them in the dogs coat.hope that helps;)

As suggested hot wash beds and use a houseold spray, do every room, soft furnishings, skirting and spray behingd radiators, also use the front line spary as opposed to spot on until you have controlled this bout.
Fleas are sensitive to vibration, so walking in a flea filled room will awaken them and have them jumping all over you.

A good tip, get a large teddy bear and chuck it into a room u suspct fleas or have been bitten in, tuck your trousers into ya socks:rolleyes: stomp around a bit, douze it (teddy) with front line spray and leave it in a room and close door. they fleas will jump on in their droves and die Muhahahahahahahahaw:p

Great advice thanks guys! Not seen any others since- but will pop to vets to see if they have anythng to spray. spent all last night washing stuff and hoovering!!!
