Evening all, my first post in AAD and after a bit of your knowledge if possible.

My JRT has got a slight flea infestion which I noticed yesterday. When I went to Pets at Home last night with the aim to buying Frontline, I was advised that FIPROLINE has the same ingredients and is a new product and was persuaded to try it. It is still licenced so had to give name, address etc.

Has anyone else heard of this brand and any opinions on it's effectiveness please. If negative, looks like I will have another trip to buy trusted Frontline.

Thanks

There are a few of them out now that contain the same ingredient and quantity as frontline, they are the pets at home fiproline and effipro, I've been using the latter for about 6-9 months now and had no problems, the only difference i've found is that my black dog has a white residue for a day or 2 after treatment that never used to be there using frontline, but it soon disappears, so doesn't bother me. Especially when it's so much cheaper!

Thank you both for responding, hopefully the treatment will work. Although the FIPROLINE was £17 and the Frontline £20 from Pets at Home, think I will check out the internet if generally Frontline is cheaper.

Quite lucky he doesn't tend to get fleas, only the second time in 18 months. But will get some more in stock just in case.

Thanks again.
