Hi,
Frontline always used to do the trick, even when she spent time with dogs who were absolutely covered in the things. Now she keeps coming home with one or two and itching - and we can SEE them! Killed a few but what else can we do? Is there anything stronger than frontline or that we could add on top?
Thanks!

If you can see them and are sure that they are fleas then you probably need to do the entire house/area that the dog has access to with something like Indorex.

It's also possible she may have developed a resistance to the active ingredient in the product you use and you may be better off switching to a different spot-on.

Finally, some people swear by feeding garlic too.

Agree with this, make sure you are within the dosing intervals of frontline, i.e if you last treated 5-6 weeks ago then it's effect will be virtually non-existant, if using spot on frontline, make sure you are using the correct size one for the weight of your dog. And if above is all correct then treat beds, soft furnishings, carpets etc with indorex or similar, the larvae can still hatch out there and jump on a treated dog, they just won't last very long on them! If treating the house still doesn't work as said above try another product such as advantage or stronghold, both of these are prescription only, so you can only get from your vet.

Advantix is a lot better but I think you need a prescription to get it in the UK. It's freely available down here (France) luckily because there are loads more ticks and fleas than in the UK!

What evey one else said, (do the house) with a household spray, and try the frontline spray as opposed to the spot on's. I use the spray and never have any issues and I have 10 dogs and cats.
Don't forget they can still jump on for a bite but should still die (if she is going somehere flea ridden).

Thanks, we'll get the spray next time. She's coming home with them as opposed to getting them here - big adult jobs too, not baby just-hatched fleas. Will get some stuff for house just in case tho. There's a rabbit warren, woods and fox dens along the border of our field and she's always in there - picking up the b****y things! We dose at 4 weeks (so the min allowed) so it's not that. If the spray doesn't work, will get Advantix. Thank you SO much everyone!
