Hi guys

I’ve been reading on fleece stable bandages and have came across mixed advice on whether to use paddding underneath them. I have read a few times that it’s not needed under fleece?

They are to help with swelling (not sure if that matters).

I have ‘experienced bandagers’ on the yard so I will be shown properly how to put on.

I also only go to see my horse on an evening so would I need to ask someone to remove the bandages on a morning or not?

Yes! If you are using them as stable bandages they need something under them.

If you are using them for schooling for a short time they can be put o with nothing underneath.

TBH, nowadays, if I need stable bandages I use the stable boots. Even with under-wraps bandages can cause damage overnight. It is OK if you are experienced with them and no one else touches them, but otherwise I would use the boots.
