Who invented fleece stable rugs???? Now that most people use shavings, the two just don't mix. Also does anyone know where I can get a lightweight stable rug not made from fleece? Thanks. (sorry a bit of a rant)

Have a look at summer sheets, which are normally cotton, and the waffle weave rugs like this one:

The Masta waffle weave sits nice on big horses.
I find the fleeces slip back on my mare.

Amigo are really nice, they seem to fit well and my horse had his on all last summer in the stable, this winter I have also used it as a extra rug under his turnout rug during the day. Quite versatile. Also not too expensive. Have got a fleece under his stable rugs during the winter OMG they get covered in shavings, not pleasant.
