Is it normal for a mare to have a flehmen reponse during her season? Never noticed my mare do it before but caught her out the corner of my eye doing it couple nights ago stabled (before she went full blown season) then today when turned out she has taken a liking to the gelding over the fence and was doing it again before reversing into his face over the fence.......
No other discomfort signs to suggest colic so don't think it is anything to worry about but wasn't sure if this was common during a mares season.
