Was poo-picking this morning (as you do) and noticed poor Toby had little flecks of blood down the back of his legs, couldn't see anything obvious so got a headcollar on him for further investigation....and all around his bits he was being eaten alive! Lumps, bumps and little swollen bits....poor boy!
So took up to the stable and washed him all down with some anti-bacterial wash, and gave him something to munch on...within just a few minutes he looked much happier then we smeared fly gel all over his bits, top of his back legs and belly.
An hour later, he was fly-free and munching in his paddock and the lumps had about gone
He didn't have any on him anywhere else, no signs of cuts etc and we searched thoroughly. The other horses were fine, and they have their usual spray on them like Toby does...
Rotten things....
