Flex-on safety stirrups broken after 1 year's use?

I got a pair of flex-on safety stirrups June last year, and in the last fortnight the stirrup on the right hand side has started popping open with minimal pressure. Tried to tighten it up with an Allen key, but doesn't seem to do anything - it's like the rubber arm is worn/weakened.

Has anyone else had this problem? feels like a manufacturing issue to me and potentially very dangerous while I'm trying to jump around a big xc course!! Back to my bent leg stainless steel irons for now...

Not sure about Flex on but the other brands usually offer a guarantee...I would contact the manufacturer x

That's the obvious thing to do, but I can't find any contact details and the stirrups were a gift, so I don't have a receipt etc.

I think the design of these might be totally flawed, hence asking to see if anyone else is having a problem.
