Thanks I’ve belatedly realised I need something to attach breastplate to for hacking.

I’ve ordered the Harry Dabbs Platinum Curved Waffle Girth with elastic both sides ??

We aren’t getting on with stubben string girth. Saddle is slipping back, girth seems to stretch whilst I ride and horse is grumpy re girth.

I think you've gone for a much better option. I didn't find they offered any extra stability when I ran into them occasionally on saddle fittings.

Saddle slipping back - could be a fraction wide and need lifting in front, I presume it's a dressage so no balance strap you could use?

Thanks.

It’s a Jeffries Liberty Jump saddle, 17.5” wide. I’m girthing on 1st and 3rd girth strap. [I don’t jump ? but do gallop etc].

It was fitted about a 4-6 weeks ago including adding flocking to lift front.

I borrowed a shaped leather long girth this morning and it didn’t slip back (though was a slower hack as ground very wet).

I’ve been disappointed with the stubben string girth as it seems to keep loosening whilst I’m riding. My horse doesn’t blow out??

I’m waiting for my saddler (she’s ill) but I’m half thinking changing girth to HD might fix the problem. ??

I use a flexi girth on one of my horses it is the best girth I have to keep the saddle from moving, you must get the right size so it is only half way up your girth straps each side if its too long it doesn't work as well.

They are a really lovely company to deal with I have exchanged a girth without any bother and they are really helpful to speak to, I emailed them with a load of questions and he couldn't do enough.
