I'm getting a pair of flexi stirrups but unsure which ones to get. Which are the best, either tho ones that just flex forwards and back or the ones that have a fourways flex in them? Any help appreciated.
I think the general consensus is sprengers are the best flexis from what I've heard on here. I'm getting a pair for Xmas. I have had a cheapo pair of cottage craft ones for over 2years now and they have worked brilliantly - no pain in dodgy ankle& knee unlike regular stirrups- but I've just noticed today that the rubber sleeves have started to crack/split a small amount (short hairline splits). However the metalworks still sound, and for the price they were still reasonable value for money. My cottage craft ones only flexed 2 ways, and I will be getting the bow balance sprenger ones. I think there was discussion about which sprenger flexis a while ago and the general opinion was that people who had both couldn't tell the difference- but someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!
love my sprengers, my friend had some of the cheaper ones and they snapped out hunting , that said I do use a cheaper pair on my dressage saddle (less pressure on them than on the sprengers which are used for hacking and jumping) and they seem ok
