What's your opinion on flexi stirrups? Loads of people I know says they're really good and would recommend for jumping. I'm using compositi premium stirrups that I found cheap at the RDS horseshow and they feel great on me as they don't slip out of my foot and is light.
Will the flexi/safety(?) stirrups be comfortable for jumping? I want some opinions from people who have used them.

I've ridden with normal flexi stirrups and Sprenger bow balance ones, the Sprengers are amazing, love them and despite the cost when I can finally afford them I'm definatly going to buy a set of my own :)

I've had mine several years. I don't like to jump in them on my current two and I only use them for hacking at the moment. My current two are both early on in jumping training and I prefer a more stable stirrup with them. I did jump in them with my previous horse with no problems, I don't remember them feeling very different at all. Mine are pretty heavy, I like a heavy stirrup for jumping as should I lose one I find them easier to find.

I have a pair of flexi stirrups and love them for any work be it hacking jumping competeing etc. Worth the extra money. I used to get pain in my right ankle after accident. Not anymore. Feel more stable too. If u get me.

Yep - sprengers bow balance. The cheap ones are not the same. Like everyone else - you don't realize how good they are until you try them. They are safe and deform to release the foot in a fall. They also absorb a lot of stress and help with joint aches etc. I found my lower leg looked much more stable in them too.

I've used Sprengers, and also Shires who do a similar flexi stirrup, and I loved them both. I didn't notice a huge difference in the two (apart from the price, obviously!), and used them for hacking, jumping, long-distance and everything in between.

Real JIN Stirrups! I found it was the size of the plate that was causing aching with me!
Jump, dressage & hack in mine & nevee have any aches or pains + have yet to loose a stirrup since having them.

and I have my name on them & matching spurs!! :O
