Hello, I have just bought a Flexineb for my horse. I measured his as per the instructions and video and he came out at the lower end of the scale for size large. I contacted the supplier about this and they agreed that the large was the one to buy and that I could always buy the silicone adaptor if necessary.

The Flexineb mask is a bit big so doesn't form a proper seal so I ordered the adaptor and that is much too small. It stretches but not that much!

Does anyone have any hints or tips on something that I could use to improve the seal? I have read that towels or cotton wool can be used. I tried a towel and it was a bit fiddly so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Could you send it back for exchange? Save a lot of palaver long term even if you have to cover postage (which you legally do as there's nothing wrong with it).
 
Are you using it with an asthma inhaler such as Becotide? If so, are you sure it is definitely too big? I've used one effectively for several years now with my cob who has a severe seasonal pollen problem and although occasionally I see a slight mist escape, her nostrils and muzzle are so deep into the Flexineb that she inhales the majority of it regardless. It's proved a great piece of kit and we'll accepted. (Cross tied with a polo at bottom of mask makes her keen to shove her nose into it!)
