Just been reading about Flexiride- Has anyone had any experience of this product? What is it exactly and how does it ride? Any any ideas how much it would cost for a 20/30m school?
I've sent them a "request a quote" email but still not heard back from them so thought I'd ask you guys

I'm pretty much decided to have t as my school surface.
It's a strange rubbery/carpety/fibrey stuff, it kind of binds together and gives a springy going, rather nice.
Don't know about the price yet, they still didn't get back to me on that one.

We had flexiride added to our existing silica sand in the school at our livery yard. I have to say everyone who rides on it is very impressed. It sits on top of the sand nicely, is fine for jumping on and we did not have any problems with the surface freezing during our cold last winter. It gives a nice springy ride without being too deep (which was the problem we had with the sand on its own).

Maintenance seems easy, it gets occasionally rolled (it does get a lot of use). Apparently it is made from the left over materials during car manufacture, bits of rubber, felt, dence foam etc.

My flexiride is arriving this Friday!

I have ordered 2ins topping for a 40x20 school. The total cost is £2415 inc vat and inc haulage. Haulage was £850.

The quote I had for a full surface was nearly £9000.

Can't wait for it to arrive. I have head loads of good things about it as well.

Thanks for the feedback - LOL at them not getting back to you with a price either!

Did they send you out a sample?

They didn't send me a sample, I have had a little look and a trial at Royal Agricultural.
The price depends of course on how much you are buying... I have 70x40 school, but my base includes some light sandy soil.
I'm sure it's going to be cheaper than McArdle synthetic waxed surface - everything is cheaper than that, lol

Well lets just say our schools half the size of yours!

(I'd LOVE a big school like that! You're very lucky!)

I'm going to get onto them today and see what they say!
Thanks for your help

When you say you were quoted for a full surface do you mean of Flexiride?
How many loads are you getting for a 2in covering?
That's a very good price isn't it

Thank you!

Thanks for the feedback - really appreciate it - sounds like the majority of people who have this surface really like it

Hi, we had flexiride on our menage last year and now it has bedded down (it was a little deep to start with) it is brill

Took a few weeks to bed in, but there are only a few of us use it. I do a lot of jumping and I find it really good for jumping on, we also have a dressage rider who seems to get on well with it.

Yes, full 6in surface of flexiride. No sand underneath, just 6ins of Flexiride.

I am having one lorry load for a 2in covering.

Can't wait!
