flies. Any unuaual products, that work?

I used to wash my horse's mane and tail in tee tree shampoo, but added a cap full of dettol.

Worked a treat, I use it on my dogs to keep away fleas.

When I had ran out of fly repellant one year, in desperation I made my own. I got an old fly repellant bottle, crushed three garlic cloves into it, added water and some lavender oil and shook well. I have to say it worked brilliantly. I now use that although I have some normal fly repellant as well. Tea Tree is supposed to be good as well.

I find Golbal herbs 'Fly Free' works a treat. We had to put fly rugs on all our horses then started using this stuff and have never had to use them since..it stinks but works!!

I can't remember what its called but the stuff farmers use on cattle is excellent!

You only need to syringe a bit onto their back and it works a treat .... we were dontated some by a local farmer last year and it was brilliant ...... (stinks a bit tho!!)

Avon skin so soft, 1 part skin so soft 3 parts water. Can add some other bits to it if you like, but it works and treat and gives a nice shine to the coat ;)
