My horse is Chesnut and gets really really bugged by the flies, he has about 20 round his head in my dressage test at grt witch, is there anything anybody can suggest apart from fly spray and wipes as I have used these!!!

Dont think there is but just incase!!! As they drive him insane and me as he gets so tense and just constantly tries to shake them off

I make my own spray, Cedarwood oil is great with some lemongrass and Eucalyptus (i also use citronella but think is now banned at shows?), I put 30 drops of each in to an old fly spray bottle, top it up with water and shake well, I don't know anything that works that is long lasting, but this does well for a couple of hours and I have been told vinegar and cold tea works as well!
