Anyone any experience??

X-rays have revealed several bone chips on hind cannon bone (below splint bone luckily). This was predicted due to a wound that went down to the bone-now confirmed.

Vet has advised letting nature take its course and see whether it reattaches or decide they want out(in which case the wound will be opened and the bone scraped by vet).

However I have noticed that when she lifts that leg up she holds it awkwardly out to the side rather than just back like normal and also does this a little also when trotted up. Vet reckons it is just irritation from bone fragments and wound. Is it just me or does it seem like it could be something higher up causing this? She is on no bute and seems happy, if a little stiff at times. She was caught in a cattle grid and pulled it out of the ground (5weeks ago now) so I fear there may be some pelvic/SI damage although I know I'm paranoid due to my last horse having SI damage. Going back to vet in a few weeks for more X-rays but just wanted opinions! Physio has said hindquarters feel fine and not sore.

Sorry if its a bit rambled-been a long week !!
