I heard on the BBC news that there are now restrictions on housing chickens due to rising cases of avian influenza.

I registered my (tiny) flock of chickens with Defra ages ago when it became mandatory to do that. I assumed that they would inform me when a new flockdown was announced, but *crickets*

Is it just me? Has anyone on here with chickens had any communications?

Did you get any notifications last year? Just wondering if your contact details are all registered. The current housing order is for keepers of 50+ birds or people who sell/give away eggs, but biosecurity precautions are in place for everyone and more restrictions will be coming soon for the rest of us I'm sure. We've shut ours up for the winter, it's just easier.

ETA yes, I've had a couple of messages so far about the new flockdown.
