i have noticed my horse has just got a floppy lower lip but only on one side, any ideas please

A bee sting perhaps? Or a thorn, abscess etc? I'd check it thoroughly if I was you, particularly if this has just started happening.

What about a floppy ear/ droopy eyelid/deviation of the muzzle on the same side? If yes, get your vet out for a full neurological examination.
