Well anyone who read my post a fortnight ago about the little madam will know that she threw the teddies out at her last event a fortnight ago, and I didn't know what to do next with her.

The update is...
I had her back checked out and she was fine apart from a bit of tightness in her poll so couldn't use that as an excuse.
So she went over to J (my instructor) on Thursday and he competed her today for me.
She was 2nd= after dressage, had one down SJ (just chipped in an extra stride to the second fence and had it in front), and was clear just inside the time XC. The course had three water fences (one run in down a steep slope and two jump in down a step) and an open ditch, the rest was fairly standard, and though he had to get after her into the water fences to make sure she didn't stop for a look, she seemed to enjoy the rest of it.
The only bummer of the day was at the end when we discovered we were 6th (yeah - big cheer), and because there were only 23 in the class they only gave rosettes to 5th. Now OK, I didn't expect any prize money as it goes in ratio of 1 prize to 5 starters, but I'm sure all the classes had rosettes pre-ordered to 6th anyway, so what was the harm in an intro class for goodness sake of just giving out the rosettes you had.
Anyway - bar that little rant we had a great day, I'm glad we did what we did and Flo had a good end to the season.
Might do a hunt ride or two if I can find a vaguely sensible one (just to teach her that you can't always see where your feet are going to land before you take off).
No photos yet, but there was a photographer there so will see what I can find in a day or two.
Thanks for reading.

I have never seen rosettes to 10th Sarah_Jane, that would be brilliant. BE must be a lot more generous in that respect. I normally compete in the northern region of eventing ireland and rosettes to sixth are given, even if prizemoney only goes to 3rd or 4th.
This event seemed quite stingy with the prizes as well, they were giving vouchers (rather than cash which is the norm here).

I've never seen rossies to less than 10th here, but cash! OMG what is that?! We don't get money here very often, and if you do, it doesn't cover entry let alone diesel to get there!

Thanks guys!!
There's such a long "off" season in eventing to brood over things that went wrong, I'm so glad she had the chance to prove herself before the winter.
It was a tricky enough course, although it didn't have a trakhener which is where she had the prob before, it did have an open ditch, a skinny, and three water crossings.
Pity I didn't get to ride her myself, but she wouldn't have had such a good result if I had. Much better for her to have a more confidence building ride with a stronger rider.

Well done! I did notice earlier in the year they only put places to 3rd/4th at one or two events, I assume due to the number of starters but a rosette would have been nice.
She will be having such a good education this way, so next year ready to win!

Whispers...we get cash prizes for all our classes even PN and intro. First and second prize have to be more than the entry fee, third etc have to be equal to the entry fee with one prize for every five starters in a class.
Can't say we personally do a lot of winning though unfortunately, my OH seems to be stuck on 8th this season, and Flo has had 2 6ths.

Was really looking forward to my rosette on Saturday though.

Thanks!!

There were 23 in the class though, so hardly a small one.
Can understand some pony classes and stuff with only five or six starters only giving 1-3rd maybe, but 23 is a reasonable enough sized class.

Still - Flo doesn't know she didn't get one, she has 2 6ths on her result sheet now, and hopefully we'll be ready to start next season with a bang.
