I know dogs etc you can go for a period of time if you forgot their booster but wondered whether anyone had any idea about horses?
I have missed one of my youngsters and they are not competing etc as they are only 2 but really don't fancy having to start the whole course again due to financial reasons.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Most manufacturers use 2 yearly booster intervals for tetanus anyway now.

There is a school of thought that 'flu jabs don't really last for a full year anyway - hence the FEI insist on 6 monthly boosters.

Your youngster will be fine just to have a booster in the near future, just remember that if you ever start competing you will need to do a new primary course of 'flu for it to be valid.

Same here.

Unfortunately if you have gone even a day over it will not be valid! You would also be lucky to get the vet to just give a booster! It's gonna be a restart!
You could ask your vet when they are running the vacc amnesty though and get it done with that. It covers the cost of 2 injections but not he visit fee - will help though.

while you're not competing you can go a month or so over and not worry about it affecting immunity levels. once you want to start competing he'll need to restart.
