if you are starting from scratch a new course of vaccinations (flu and tet) how long in between each injection?
is it 3 lots of injections? i can't remember, so long since i've had to start from scratch, many thanks x

Usually you do one, then the second a month later, then the third after 6 months. Annual boosters for flu after the third jab - tetanus is every other year.

Yep, the exact windows vary - manufacturers have their recommendations, Jockey club and FEI are slightly different...

see http://www.rvc.ac.uk/supervets/documents/equine/vaccinations.pdf for more details.

For flu you have the first jab done, the a second, no less than 21, & no more than 92 days apart. You can then compete if your horse needs to be flu vacced for a competiton. You then need a third one no less than 150 days & no more than 215 days after the second jab, & from then on an annual booster no more than 365 after the third jab. If you are competing under FEI rules you need the booster every six months.
Two things to remember. If you are competing there must be seven clear days between any injection & the day of the competiton, & (for when you're counting days) that day one is the day AFTER the jab is done.
The easiest way is to do the flu tet combined. The tet part is only needed for the first two, & then a booster every two years as opposed to annually.
