Hello,

I've had to start from scratch with my horse's flu & tet vaccinations due to not having them on the passport with previous owner.

He has had the first two 3 months apart. How long after should the third one be due?

To start you say you had the second jab after 3 months, check carefully this second jab may be no more 92 days after the first.

If that is ok the next one is between 5 and 7 months or to be more precise 150 day to 215 days.

Thanks :) My vets send a postcard reminder so it was within the advised time period. I'll give them a call once the bank holiday is over just to double check.

first jab
2nd jab is 22days to 90 days
3rd is 90 to 215 days i think then annually thereafter. phone your vet to check and ask them to send you reminders!!!!

Sorry this is not quite right!
First Jab.
Second jab 21 - 92 days after.
Third one 150 - 215 days after that.

Day one is the day AFTER the injection for counting purposes.

The responsibility to get the dates right is yours. Vets will send reminders but they generally have a clause about it being a courtesy service, & that the customer should check themselves.

as a guide. i do see i said 'i think' did also say phone your vet to check ie clarification! my vets either send me a reminder or text me. i also put the flu jabs in the diary for next year and if on the ball book them for 364 days in advance. blame the winoclock.

I was going to check with the vets but due to it being 'emergency only' calls I thought it would be better to post on here in the meantime!

Thanks for the comments.
