fly bites

Ok so I couldn't get out today to go buy a fly sheet for my mare (stupid work needed me) and obviously no where is really open tomorrow. Anyone have ideas on what I could use on the fly bites she has? Poor girl has a few swollen ones

Yea it's amazing how one day it's winter and next day it's summer with flies and heat, who would have thought, just leaves you with no time to plan at all.....

Only had this mare 3 days and the weather's been awful. That is of course until today

Sudocreme is good to soothe fly bites. I use pots of the stuff.

Have had anthisan suggested for bites, from chemists

Witch Hazel is really good as well......and Calamine lotion really helps with decreasing bites and calming irritation and both are cheap to buy!

My friend has just advised aqueous cream mixed with witch hazel and citronella oil. Anyone heard of this?
