Fly Boy is back

Oh FLY!. Schooled him today and he was outrageous! He was so fresh and glad to be out and about (been off for 3 mths with various leg problems). Only been hacked out for a 2 weeks so far. He started so well and then.......BUCK BUCK BUCK, followed by a massive leap which unseated me and resulted in me hitting the deck side on from about 10ft. What a ****. I lay there winded with my husband 30ft away totally oblivious to my pathetic calls. Fly stood there and LICKED ME! what a naughty boy. Got over it and got back on and after a few more semi horrendous bucks did some good work. Good to have you back FLY!

Wondered if anyone elses horses have been so naughty after time off?

Yep mine was very very naughty after 9 months off due to unknown leg injury n it was buck buck buck n a few more bucks

Peter is ok. He has been a bit lame on his off fore, don't know if it is due to his flat feet! He has had a couple of days off and I schooled him today and he was a bit short to be honest. Fly and him do not get on. There is a jealousy thing going on I think! xx

Mine is just coming back into work AGAIN! He's always doing something that ends up with him out of work. So far so good, he has never bucked or done anything stupid. Let's hope he never does! Fly sounds full of the joys of life.

My old mare was usually angelic under saddle (bit of a nightmare on the ground sometimes but that's a different matter). She had two weeks of box rest and then I was told to hack her out (walk only) twice a day for a week before turning her out the first time. She promptly bucked me off twice a day all week! As soon as she was allowed to be turned out she was fine again.
