Fly mask/ear protection

What's would you recommend for a horse which in the last week alone has scabby ears due to fly bites! But has tried fly masks which rub him under his chin,nose area (sensitive boy :-D..) any recommendations?

equilibrium do masks with and without ears....they never rub my horse and stay in place well....theyn are very well padded and lightweight...
