I have a new horse on loan and he is very ear shy, hell let you touch everywhere but as soon as you go near his ears he'll pull back. Its that bad all his bridle consists of is a head piece and bit which you have to flip over to get it on.

So yeah... In desperate need of a fly mask that doesn't go over his ears and doesn't have to go near them to put it on please. Any recommendations will be fan please :)

Ice cream for all :)

My gelding is very ear shy due to being ear twitched as a foal. He also needs his bridle undone at the cheeks to get it on him - however he never got upset with me putting his Cashel fly mask on. I had a spare one in the right size, so I thought that I would give it a go and he was fine with it.

He's not wearing his in this photo, but it's exactly the same as CM's with ear and nose covers.

My grey (who doesn't have sensitive ears) much prefers this Equilibrium one with no ear covers or nose cover.

Thanks, tried a normal one on him tonight and he just reared right up as soon and it went near his ears x

Your boy seems much more consistent than mine then! ;)

The Equilibrium one might be OK for him as it velcros behind the poll - however their other models don't do this so make sure you get the right one.
